Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service apply to every person who installs, configures, accesses, or uses Gary. By adding Gary to a Discord server, installing the app to your Discord account, or using any Gary command or feature, you agree to these terms.
If you manage a server, you are responsible for informing members about Gary's use and configuring its permissions appropriately. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use Gary.
What Gary provides
Gary is a Discord app that may provide conversational AI responses, image generation, temporary media hosting and embeds, text-to-speech and voice features, message utilities, and other server tools. Features may be added, changed, limited, or removed over time.
Gary is provided for casual community use. It is not an emergency service, professional adviser, permanent file host, or guaranteed archive.
Eligibility and authority
You must meet Discord's minimum age requirements and be permitted to use Discord in your location. You may only add Gary to a server when you have the authority and Discord permissions required to do so.
Acceptable use
You may not use Gary to:
- Break applicable law, Discord's rules, or another person's rights.
- Generate, upload, relay, or distribute illegal, exploitative, malicious, or non-consensual content.
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, deceive, or expose private information about another person.
- Spam commands, evade cooldowns, overload the service, probe security, or attempt to disrupt Gary or its providers.
- Distribute malware, phishing material, credential theft, scams, or instructions intended to cause harm.
- Use generated output as if it were verified professional, legal, medical, financial, or safety advice.
Server owners remain responsible for their communities, permissions, and moderation. Gary's operator may block a user or server when necessary to protect the service or others.
Your messages and media
You keep any rights you already hold in content you submit. You grant Gary permission to receive, process, transform, temporarily store, and transmit that content only as needed to provide the requested feature.
You are responsible for what you submit and must have the necessary rights and consent. Do not upload confidential information, private media belonging to others, or anything you are not authorized to share. Temporary media URLs may be accessible to anyone who has the link and should not be treated as private storage.
AI responses and generated images
AI-generated responses and images can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, unexpected, or similar to content produced for other users. You must review output before relying on or sharing it. Gary does not guarantee that generated content is factual, unique, fit for a particular purpose, or free from third-party claims.
Prompts and generated output remain subject to these terms, provider restrictions, rate limits, and safety controls. Attempts to bypass those controls may result in loss of access.
Data and privacy
Gary processes Discord identifiers, command inputs, relevant message context, uploaded media, and basic usage records when needed to operate a feature, enforce limits, diagnose failures, or prevent abuse. Some requests are sent to third-party infrastructure or AI providers for processing.
Data is retained only as operationally necessary, but no online service can promise absolute security. Avoid sending secrets, passwords, payment details, or other sensitive personal information to Gary.
Rate limits and access
Gary may apply cooldowns, queues, file-size limits, daily usage limits, or other safeguards. Access may be restricted or removed without advance notice when use creates risk, excessive cost, service instability, legal concerns, or repeated violations of these terms.
Third-party services
Gary relies on Discord and may rely on external AI, speech, media, hosting, and search providers. Your use of those platforms may also be governed by their own terms and policies. Gary's operator does not control and is not responsible for third-party availability, changes, or content.
Availability and changes
Gary is provided on an "as available" basis. Features may be interrupted, delayed, changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time. There is no guarantee that messages, files, generated output, settings, or usage history will remain available.
Disclaimers and responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gary and its operator make no warranties about accuracy, reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. You use Gary at your own risk and remain responsible for your actions, server configuration, submitted content, and use of generated output.
Gary's operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, data loss, lost profits, server disruption, or harm resulting from use of or inability to use the service, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as Gary changes. The effective date and version at the top of this page will be revised when material changes are published. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

For questions, removal requests, or reports concerning Gary, contact Gary's operator through the Discord community where the app is installed. Include enough detail to identify the server, feature, or content involved, but do not send passwords or other secrets.
